In late October 2026 Audemars Piguet opened The Watch Keepers, its own platform for certified pre-owned watches, presented as a digital “villa”. The Le Brassus manufacture buys back watches of its own brand from private owners, authenticates them, then resells them under its warranty.
A digital villa run from Le Brassus
The Watch Keepers is published and operated by Audemars Piguet (Marketing) SA, in Le Brassus, in the canton of Vaud. The site went live in late October 2026, with no dated announcement from the brand. Audemars Piguet boutiques do not handle this business: everything goes through the website and its “villa”.

Who can buy or sell?
The site can be browsed from anywhere, but buying and selling are reserved for verified residents of the European Union and Switzerland. Delivery covers 29 countries: the 27 EU member states, Liechtenstein and Switzerland, within two to five working days. For now only adult private individuals can register, with company accounts planned later. Registration is free, but identity verification (ID document and selfie) is required to see prices, buy or sell. Other regions will follow, with no timetable announced.
More than two years since the original sale
Any authentic Audemars Piguet watch can be offered if it was sold new more than two years ago, counting from the original date of sale, subject to assessment: some pieces may be declined. Each watch is authenticated by the brand’s watchmakers, who check it against the Manufacture’s archives. The dial, case and bracelet are then graded from 1 to 5; a watch needs at least 3 on each criterion and must be fully functional to be listed. Preparation is included; a full service is only required if the watch falls short of the standards, and nothing is done without the seller’s consent.

The brand buys the watch, then resells it
The seller chooses between a fixed price, with offers to accept, decline or counter, and an auction window with a reserve price. The brand gives no price recommendations. Once the price is agreed, Audemars Piguet (Marketing) SA acquires the watch from the seller, then resells it to the buyer with its warranty. The buyer therefore contracts with the brand, not with another private individual.

20, 15, then 10%: the seller’s commission
The commission, which is non-negotiable, is published and calculated in tiers: 20% up to 25,000 euros, 15% from 25,001 to 50,000 euros, then 10% above that. For a watch sold for 60,000 euros, it comes to 9,750 euros (5,000 euros on the first tier, 3,750 euros on the second, 1,000 euros on the rest). It covers authentication, preparation, logistics, photography, listing and insurance. The seller is paid within 15 days, once the buyer has paid and the return period has ended.
Two-year warranty, 14-day returns
Every watch sold comes with the two-year The Watch Keepers warranty, which covers functional and mechanical failures excluding misuse; servicing is available throughout Audemars Piguet’s official network. The buyer has 14 days to return the watch. It is delivered in a travel pouch, with the original box and papers where they exist, and an official certificate of authenticity. Prices and payments are in euros, by card, SWIFT or SEPA transfer, or even in instalments depending on the region.

40 watches on sale on 31 October
On 31 October 2026 the platform listed 40 watches, including Royal Oak, Royal Oak Offshore, Code 11.59, Millenary, Edward Piguet and Jules Audemars models, among them a “Wien” edition with equation of time. Prices only appear after registration and identity verification: the brand does not publish them openly.
