In brief
- Porsche announced on 1 October 2026 the official end of its Web3 project and the PIONΞERS CIRCLE.
- The 2,363 NFTs in the Porsche 911 collection remain preserved and tradable on the Ethereum blockchain.
- Transaction volume has fallen to $2,900 over the last thirty days, compared to $20 million at launch.
The digital adventure of the Stuttgart maison is coming to an end. On 1 October 2026, Porsche formalised the cessation of its Web3 initiatives centred on the PORSCHΞ 911 NFT collection and the PIONΞERS CIRCLE community. Launched at the beginning of 2023, this programme aimed to create a bridge between the automotive universe and the world of digital assets. Less than four years later, the German manufacturer is closing this chapter against a backdrop of global disaffection for non-fungible tokens.
End of official services and maintenance on the blockchain
Unchanged status for tokens on the blockchain
The legal and technical status of the tokens remains unchanged. The announcement, shared on the project’s official networks, confirms that the 2,363 NFTs issued remain registered on the Ethereum blockchain. Owners retain full possession of their assets in their digital wallets and keep the possibility of trading them on secondary platforms such as OpenSea. No buyback, destruction or technical migration has been planned by the brand.
On the other hand, the animation layer and services associated with the brand are being permanently shut down. The Discord server dedicated to the Pioneers Circle has been switched to read-only mode, prohibiting any new interaction. Similarly, official communication channels are ceasing their publications and the exclusive benefits distributed by the brand are cancelled.

From the Art Basel launch to market exhaustion
From the Art Basel launch to the market decline
Unveiled during the Art Basel Miami event in December 2022, the collection was initially intended to comprise 7,500 customisable pieces marketed at 0.911 ETH per unit. Faced with a reserved reception from the community due to a price deemed high, the issuance was halted at 2,363 copies. Despite a temporary rise in the floor price to around 3.3 ETH, financial interest gradually dried up.
To maintain member engagement, the manufacturer had nevertheless deployed physical and virtual benefits. More than 350 holders participated in exclusive events during 2023, while tens of thousands of messages were exchanged on the dedicated community. However, commercial activity has collapsed: the collection generated only 2,900 dollars in transactions over the last month, compared to a cumulative 20 million dollars since its origin.
A strategic refocusing for the luxury sector
Luxury refocuses away from digital assets
This decision is part of a broader reconfiguration of the engagement of major luxury maisons within Web3. The cessation of digital programmes by other major industry players illustrates a strategic refocusing towards physical experiences or classic immersive technologies. Porsche token collectors now hold a historical digital object, whose value now lies solely in its heritage or speculative dimension on the secondary market.
