A major alliance for the Languedoc hotel industry

This signing marks a historic milestone for the expansion of Marriott International’s prestige portfolio in Europe. A preserved setting between lagoon and vineyards

Ideally positioned just 35 minutes from Montpellier-Méditerranée Airport, the estate overlooks the Thau Lagoon, offering breathtaking views of Sète, Mont Saint-Clair and the Mediterranean Sea. This project is set within a preserved area encompassing nearly 8,000 hectares of protected natural spaces, confirming the growing appeal of Languedoc to a discerning clientele.

An architectural signature inspired by the South

The resort has been designed as a natural extension of the village of Marseillan. To achieve this, Slowlife Architects partnered with internationally renowned interior designer Lázaro Rosa-Violán. Together, they offer a contemporary reinterpretation of local architecture: ashlar stone facades, typical wooden shutters, ironwork details and local terracotta hues will blend harmoniously into the Hérault landscape.

Residential ambition at the heart of the project

For Miguel Espada, President of Propriétés & Co, the ambition is clear: to design a new European benchmark for seaside and epicurean living without altering the local area. The complex is designed to be anchored in its environment, paying a subtle tribute to the maritime heritage of this region, which enjoys over 300 days of sunshine a year.

The exclusive residential experience of The Luxury Collection Marseillan

The residential real estate component is one of the key strengths of this announcement. The estate will offer 189 private residences, ranging from exclusive lagoon-front villas and villas with private pools to garden suites, refined apartments and penthouses. These properties combine Mediterranean authenticity with the requirements of high-end contemporary comfort.

Each owner will benefit from privileged access to all hotel facilities and a full range of on-demand services. This launch marks a historic first, representing the introduction of the group’s first branded residences in France.

A haven dedicated to wellness and gastronomy

Wellness, gastronomy and premium facilities

Beyond its architecture, the resort will offer a first-class range of facilities. Visitors and residents will be able to enjoy an exceptional 2,000 m² wellness area, directly inspired by ancient Roman baths, complemented by several swimming pools, an art gallery and high-end boutiques. Wellness is defined here by a monumental 2,000 m² spa dedicated to absolute relaxation.

The culinary scene is equally impressive, with the resort planning no fewer than nine distinct dining venues. The offering will notably include an oyster and sashimi bar paying tribute to local produce, a signature fine-dining restaurant, a typically French café, and a terrace bar set in the very heart of the vineyard.

Upon its opening in 2029, the property will become the brand’s fourth establishment under The Luxury Collection in France, alongside the Prince de Galles and the Hôtel de Berri in Paris, as well as the recently opened Hôtel du Couvent in Nice.
