Commissioned by an American owner, this model continues the expansion of the Extra range, an offshoot of Isa Yachts which is itself part of the Palumbo Group. Designed to reconcile a resolutely Mediterranean lifestyle with first-class performance, it embodies a modern vision of fast cruising where interior and exterior living spaces merge with elegance.
A major industrial stronghold in the Adriatic
The development of the Extra series builds on the industrial power of the Palumbo Group, a historic player that expanded into luxury yachting in 2008. Founded in 1967, the group initially established itself as a notable leader in professional refits before building a portfolio of prestigious brands, including Columbus and Mondomarine, through strategic acquisitions following the economic crisis of the late 2000s. Led by the Palumbo family for four generations, the group now relies on a network of seven shipyards strategically distributed across the Mediterranean, notably in Naples, Malta, Marseille, Rijeka in Croatia, Savona and Ancona.
It is precisely in Ancona, on the Adriatic coast, that the units of the Isa Superyachts division and the Extra series are assembled. At this production hub spanning nearly 60,000 sq m, the builder boasts the largest gantry crane on the Adriatic, capable of launching vessels over 80 metres in length. This state-of-the-art infrastructure has enabled the launch of several large units from 43 to 80 metres in recent years. This superyacht culture directly benefits the Extra range, launched in 2018 with a first 76-foot model, by providing an exceptional level of finish and technical rigor for vessels of this size.

To draw the lines of this vessel, the shipyard renewed its trust in the Neapolitan naval architect Francesco Guida, creator of the brand’s visual identity since its inception. Known for pioneering the aesthetic codes of Arcadia in the early 2010s, the designer applies his singular signature here: a voluminous and slightly convex bow, a superstructure projected forward, and a cockpit stretched remarkably towards the stern. The Extra 99 Fast represents an extended and optimised version of the Extra Fast 86 launched in 2020, capitalising on the strengths of its predecessor while increasing living volume and overall comfort on board.
This atypical silhouette optimises space on board while guaranteeing remarkable seakeeping qualities. With a beam of 7.30 metres and a draft limited to 1.35 metres, the yacht is perfectly suited for coastal cruising and shallow anchorages. The exterior design favours a sleek profile that conceals a surprising interior volume, offering the ideal compromise between the sportiness of an open yacht and the comfort of a classic flybridge.

Social life on board revolves mainly around the 75 sq m aft cockpit, a spectacular space that pushes the traditional boundaries between inside and outside. The central feature of this layout is a galley-bar equipped with a drop-down, sash-type glass window. This feature establishes direct contact between the galley and the twelve guests seated around a large black aluminium and marble table, facilitating service and entertaining whether the yacht is operated privately or for charter. Al fresco dining is thus enjoyed sheltered beneath a long flybridge overhang, which also houses a retractable television screen.
At the request of the American owner, the yard integrated two drop-down bulwarks that unfold on either side of a large U-shaped sofa facing the sea. These lateral terraces visually expand the space and offer an unobstructed view of the horizon, extended by an immense aft sunbed. The more modestly sized flybridge offers a more private relaxation area, complemented by a compact exterior helm station, while a system of removable shade sails mounted on carbon poles protects the entire upper deck from the sun.

For the interior design, designer Luca Dini opted for a resolutely minimalist and warm style, avoiding cumbersome furniture to maximise the feeling of space. The main salon on the main deck features a low console to port, a vast L-shaped sofa, and a bar cabinet fitted near the windscreen. The main helm station is situated on the same level, separated from the salon by a sliding half-partition that preserves natural light while offering the necessary privacy for manoeuvres. Direct access to the side deck also allows the captain to reach the exterior quickly.
The sleeping quarters, accessible via a staircase on the starboard side, can accommodate up to ten guests thanks to a family-friendly four-cabin layout. The master suite spans the full beam of the yacht in the center of the lower deck, enhanced by light oak parquet, light wooden slatted partitions, and a walk-in wardrobe. The master bathroom is symmetrically arranged around a central double washbasin opening onto the bedroom, flanked by a shower cubicle on one side and a separate toilet on the other. The VIP cabin is positioned at the bow, while two double guest cabins each feature a pullman bed to optimise guest capacity.

For those seeking even more extreme sensations, the yard offers a version equipped with triple 2,000 hp MAN engines coupled with a central waterjet acting as a booster, reaching a maximum speed of 44 knots.
The storage of water toys and equipment has been meticulously integrated to preserve the vessel’s overall aesthetic. The foredeck accommodates two jet skis launched via an integrated telescopic crane, while the main tender is stowed uniquely in a separate side garage located near the engine room. A swivel hydraulic gangway functions as a grand swimming ladder or boarding passerelle, completing a high-end technical package valued at approximately $10.5 million.
