The new Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort opened its doors on 1 July 2026 on Morocco’s Atlantic coast, offering an upscale selection of 250 rooms just a few kilometres north of Agadir. This first resort for the brand in the Kingdom lies at the heart of a booming tourist hub, where surfing, well-being and outdoor living come together.

A strategic anchor for Taghazout Bay Marriott Resort

The seaside resort of Taghazout Bay, located in the immediate vicinity of Agadir, continues its rise on the international tourism scene. Designed around a philosophy combining environmental preservation, sport and the art of living, this coastal enclave now welcomes its first establishment signed by Marriott Hotels. The arrival of this international brand marks a major turning point for the region, confirming the growing appeal of the Atlantic coast to an international clientele in search of authenticity.

The resort establishes itself as a dynamic and resolutely contemporary living space. From the entrance, the Greatroom reinterprets the traditional lobby to make it a hybrid meeting space, suited to both social moments and nomadic working. According to the establishment’s management, this opening is part of a desire to offer sincere hospitality, in harmony with the soothing and inspiring energy of this part of the Moroccan coastline.

An architecture in symbiosis with the Atlantic

A design inspired by the surrounding nature

Directly inspired by the surrounding nature, the resort’s design strives to blur the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. The architecture gives pride of place to mineral textures, raw wood, natural stone and shades reminiscent of sand and the ocean. Moroccan craftsmanship occupies a central place in this coastal aesthetic, through hand-woven textile pieces and details crafted by local artisans, which dialogue with highly pure contemporary lines.

The hotel’s 250 keys, including 29 exclusive suites, all feature a private balcony or terrace. These openings offer unobstructed views of the Atlantic Ocean, the landscaped gardens or the estate’s swimming pools. Natural light, which is particularly changeable from morning to evening, sculpts the spaces and gives the rooms a relaxing atmosphere conducive to rejuvenation.

Three culinary stopovers between land and sea

A gastronomic stopover facing the ocean

The experience continues at the table through three distinct gastronomic concepts. The Rivage restaurant offers a Mediterranean immersion inspired by the tables of the French Riviera, in a bright and relaxed setting facing the open sea. By the water, Salt & Lime adopts a more Californian and Mexican vibe, punctuated by fresh cuisine and a festive daytime atmosphere.

At nightfall, the signature restaurant Brasa celebrates the art of wood-fired cooking. This warm venue showcases Mediterranean-inspired grilled dishes and offers a smoked cocktail bar on its ocean-facing terrace. These three dining options create a varied culinary journey that reflects the resort’s geographical diversity and openness to the world.

A sanctuary dedicated to rejuvenation and sport

Well-being and leisure at the heart of the resort

For sports and relaxation enthusiasts, the resort deploys extensive facilities. These include four outdoor swimming pools nestled in the heart of landscaped gardens, two padel courts and a fitness centre equipped with the latest technology. A holistic spa will open during the summer of 2026 to offer treatments inspired by local beauty rituals and the marine rhythm.

The establishment also caters to professional and private events with a 450 m² ballroom that can accommodate up to 540 guests, complemented by several equipped meeting rooms. These modular spaces combine contemporary technical requirements with an inspiring seaside setting.
